“YOUNG AT ART” CHILDREN ART PLAYSHOP

PURPOSE
The main purpose of the project is to expose the young ones early to the joy and fun of creativity while engaging their minds and hands to produce things that will add beauty and color to their lives in a friendly, nonacademic and informal environment.

The purpose is to have the young ones create and re-create.  The intention of this playshop is not to make artists of the children but to bring out their creativity and potentials and bring them to bear on their future engagements (in whatever field they choose), and their appreciation of beauty.  Ultimately the purpose of the project is to develop the total personality of the child through the visual creative medium.

BENEFITS
Creativity cuts across every facet of life and the benefits of creativity are many.  Some of the benefits of the project are:

Recreation And Playfulness
It gives the children an opportunity to relax, recreate, and refresh in a playful setting while their potentials are being brought out and that is why we call it a “playshop” rather than workshop.  The children will improve their sense of humor and ability to experiment freely.

Sensitivity
It will heighten the awareness of what the children see, hear, and touch as well as their responsiveness to other people and their feelings.

Flexibility
The playshop will make the participants (children) more flexible and give them the ability to adapt to new situations and see their possibilities.  They will be willing to find innovative relationships.

Originality
The project will make them have uncommon responses to situations and solving problems. 

Productivity
This project will improve the children’s ability to generate ideas easily and frequently and to follow through on those ideas to logical conclusions and positive results.

Analytical Skill
The playshop will sharpen their talent for exploring and solving problems and finding out how things work. 

Organisational Skills
This will improve their ability to put things together in a coherent and logical order.

Creation of Wealth (Wealth through creativity)
The children will be exposed to how they can turn their creativity into wealth even at a tender age.  They will start earning money from their gifts.

OTHER BENEFITS TO THE CHILDREN

PERMANENT MEMBERSHIP - Each child that participates becomes a permanent member of the Young At Art Club.
 
ASSISTANCE WITH SCHOOL ASSIGNMENT - Each member of the club can come to our studio at any time to do their school art homework or other related visual assignments.

BIRTHDAY GIFT - A member would receive a birthday gift from the club on his/her birthday.

FREE ART PARTY - A member can enjoy a free art party organized by the club during his/her birthday. 

ROOM DECORATION - Parents of the members can invite artists from Biodunomolayo studio to assist in decorating a member’s room at home and also give decorative pieces of advise on how to make the children’s room beautiful and unique.

UNLIMITED ACCESS TO BIODUNOMOLAYO - A member has unhindered access to Biodunomolayo studio for any art related assignments, issues and recreation any time during the week and at weekends.
